Kam Williams and Leroy Garrett of The Challenge have revealed the sex of their first child to the world, weeks after sharing that Kam was expecting.
The couple had been teasing friends and fans with a potential reveal by wearing pink and blue clothes in recent photos and asking for guesses.
On Friday, they revealed that they’re having a boy, joining several other Challenge castmates who recently had sons in the past year.
Kam and Leroy reveal sex of first child
Kam shared a fun video clip featuring Tems’ song Free Mind as she walks with Leroy outside. Kam wears pink to represent a potential girl, with Leroy in blue for a boy. They’re also holding balloons with the corresponding baby colors.
They stop for a moment and hold their balloons up in the air. Kam lets go of her pink balloons, leaving Leroy holding the blue ones. It’s a boy! Kam turns to kiss and hug an excited Leroy upon the reveal.
“Our greatest gift to each other! #boymom #itsaboy,” Kam wrote in her Instagram video caption.
Kam also reminisced over the moment she and Leroy first met to where they are now as a couple. She mentions in her IG post that when she initially met Leroy, she wasn’t looking for love.
“I guess things really do come to you when you’re not looking at all. We’ve always trusted the process and let things happen on God’s timing which is never wrong!” Kam said.
“I look forward to bringing our first child into the world and raising a little version of you and witnessing you becoming a day. Thank you for loving me the way you do. Love you both so much,” Kam gushed.
The Challenge power couple revealed just before Christmas 2021 that Kam was expecting, with her pregnancy due date in June. The couple met through their time appearing on MTV’s competition series.
After their appearance on Season 36, Double Agents, Leroy announced he was retiring from the show. He’s one of several Challenge stars who announced their retirement from the show in recent years.
While Kam hasn’t revealed she’s done with the show, she and Leroy will have their hands full with their newborn later this year.
Challenge castmates react to the reveal
Many Challenge fans and castmates dropped by Kam’s video post on Instagram to congratulate the couple and react to the news they’re having a boy.
The Challenge OG Mark Long is already laying claim to a future alliance with Kam and Leroy’s son.
Jemmye Carroll said she supported “team boy” because she is eager to see a “mini-Leroy” running around. She also offered prayers for Kam for having to deal with a “grown Leroy and Lil Lee.”
“Oh boy! Happy for you guys we all wanna watch this family show!!!” Cara Maria Sorbello commented.
“Best feeling ever, congrats…Leroy you lucky f**k,” Kyle Christie commented on the gender reveal post.
Kyle was one of several of Kam and Leroy’s Challenge castmates to welcome a baby boy, as he and girlfriend Vicky Turned welcomed son Crew Jax Christie last September.
In addition, Jenna Compono and Zach Nichols welcomed their first child, son Anthony Joseph Nichols, earlier that same month. Other castmates, including Chris “CT” Tamburello and Amanda Garcia, also have sons.
So Kam and Leroy should have a few castmates they can contact for parenting tips when it comes to their bundle of joy!
The Challenge is currently on hiatus on MTV and is expected to return in 2022.
