Teen Mom 2 cast members Bar Smith and Ashley Jones sparked rumors they had split, but Bar’s mom cleared the air and revealed they are still together.
Over the weekend, Ashley shared and then deleted some selfies on Instagram during a night out with friends.
Seemingly aimed at Bar, Ashley told her followers, “He is out of his mind for setting me free. Idiot,” and “I am the vibe. Idiot. Any many that lost me is a sorry man.”

Bar’s mom, Shen Williams, spoke with The Sun, setting the record straight concerning her son’s relationship with his baby mama, Ashley.
“They’re not split up. They’re good,” Shen revealed. “Relationships have some issues. It just seems to be blown up in social media when you’re in the public eye.”
Shen said she stays out of Bar and Ashley’s issues
For her son’s relationship with Ashley, Shen thinks the two are a good match and stays out of their issues.
“I’m rooting for them then, no matter what. They are young,” Shen told her interviewer. “I feel like they are good for each other and will have issues just like anyone else. I do not get in their domestic issues unless they ask for advice.”
Bar and Ashley ‘will work things out’
Shen added, “Bar is good [at] doing what he needs to do. Him and Ashley will work things out.”
In last week’s episode of Teen Mom 2, fans gushed over a sweet moment between Ashley and Bar. Ashley surprised Bar with a thoughtful outdoor dinner for his birthday.
Earlier this season on Teen Mom 2, Ashley threw Bar another surprise to celebrate him finally getting his GED.
Ashley and Bar have a tumultuous history together
The on-and-off couple shares a daughter, Holly, 3. Ashley and Bar made their Teen Mom 2 debut this season, after veteran cast member Chelsea Houska announced her departure from the franchise.
Although Ashley joined as a new cast member, ratings for Teen Mom 2 have reportedly plummeted.
When critics complained about Ashley’s addition to the cast, she had some snide advice for them: “Don’t watch then.”
Ashley and Bar remained together, despite plenty of ups and downs. After Bar’s arrest this spring for discharging a weapon, Ashley defended her man.
Ashley told her haters, “You don’t have to like me and Bar. We like each other. Duh. Y’all back and forth like the wind with your opinions anyways.”
