Ashley Jones and Bar Smith shared a sweet moment on the latest episode of Teen Mom 2, and fans are gushing over it.
This week on Teen Mom 2, viewers watched as Ashley planned a cute birthday surprise for her fiancé, Bar Smith.
Ashley surprised Bar with a homemade outdoor dinner
Ashley surprised Bar with a homemade dinner, under the lights in their own backyard, and he wasn’t expecting such a sweet gesture.
Bar thought the couple was headed out to dinner, somewhere far from home, but meanwhile, Ashley had a trick up her sleeve.
Ashley prepared one of Bar’s favorite Indian meals, and set up the backyard to look like a romantic oasis, complete with a lighted tent, candles, balloons, greenery, and gifts.
Ashley told Bar it was time to leave, so the two headed out the front door, Bar thinking the whole time they were driving to a restaurant.
When they headed out the front door, Ashley told Bar, “The restaurant is this way,” as she led him to their backyard.
Bar was appreciative of Ashley’s surprise
“What?!” Bar said with a chuckle as he realized that Ashley had actually planned a romantic dinner at home for the two of them.
“This is amazing,” Bar told Ashley as he took a closer look at the effort she put into making his birthday a special one.
“Hey, this is nice. Yeah, we ain’t got to go nowhere. This is a five-star restaurant right here,” Bar said as he walked inside the tent to see Ashley’s setup.
Ashley presented Bar with his gift after their dinner and surprised him once again. She gave him a suitcase that contained “treasures,” as she put it, which just so happened to be a luggage tag and plane tickets for a “London-Paris escape.”
Teen Mom 2 fans loved watching Ashley and Bar’s cute moment
Fans of the show couldn’t help but take notice of the sweet gesture and commented about it on social media.
“Ashley and Bar have made SO much progress and I LOVE watching their story,” said one fan of the show.
Ashley recently opened up about her and Bar making progress in their relationship. On her fellow castmate Kail Lowry’s podcast, Coffee Convos, Ashley said of her and Bar’s relationship, “You know what people don’t understand Bar and I, but Bar and I have been homeless together, We’ve been through so much together that we are just trying to make it f**king work, okay.”
“[Oh] how [I’d] LOVE a nice romantic meal like this. [The] set-up is beautiful & Ashley did a really great job. [She] ❤❤❤’s her some Bar!,” wrote another Teen Mom 2 fan.
“Ashley b doing cute s**t for [Bar] I think that set up was sweet she go all out for him,” commented another fan.
Another Teen Mom 2 fan commented, “Ashley’s birthday setup and gift for Bar was very nice[.]”
Ashley continues to stand by Bar
Unfortunately, ratings for Teen Mom 2 have reportedly plummeted since Ashley’s addition to the cast this season. But one thing that’s stayed strong is Ashley and Bar’s commitment to each other, despite some trying times for the couple.
Ashley continues to defend her man and said, “So just because people say things about Bar doesn’t mean I have to put him in the disposal. We’ve been through the f**king ringer.”
