Omid Scobie, a royal biographer and friend of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, has alleged that members of the Royal Family had “not one but several conversations about Archie’s skin color.”

Scobie, who co-authored Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family with Carolyn Durand, also revealed that Meghan plans to return to the U.K. in 2022 for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, according to the Daily Mail.

More than one member of the Royal Family shared their concern about Archie’s skin color

While speaking at a Foreign Press Association (FPA) event in London, Scobie claimed that more than one member of the Royal Family had expressed their concern about Archie’s skin color.

He claimed that after several conversations during which more than one member of the Royal Family offered comments that suggested they were worried that Archie may be born with a dark skin color, Meghan and Harry found themselves “in a position where you start to feel [that] well it’s not just this one person, it’s others as well and it becomes a much bigger issue.”

Although the Royals allegedly had more than one conversation with the Sussexes about Archie’s skin tone, it was one initial conversation that shocked Harry most, Scobie claimed.

However, Scobie declined to name the person who was involved in the initial conversation with Harry.

Scobie accused the Royal Family of failing to address the racism allegations

The royal biographer went on to accuse the Royal Family of refusing to directly address the racism allegations or denounce racism.

He alleged that instead of addressing Meghan and Harry’s damming allegations, the Queen chose to “cleverly [use] the phrase ‘recollections may vary'” to “cast doubts on Harry and Meghan’s version of events but didn’t denounce racism in any way whatsoever.”

Referring to the incident when Prince William reportedly said that “We [Royals] are very much not a racist family,” Scobie accused William of failing to denounce or condemn racism.

“We do not see the royal family ever do that,” he said. “So of course it then continues this conversation about how anti-racism is the royal family, how much does the Royal Institution own its history and perhaps any kind of unconscious bias that may exist within the establishment or the family.”

“None of these things ever seem to be addressed,” Scobie concluded.

Meghan and Harry accused the Royals of racism and neglect during Oprah interview

Scobie’s comments come after Meghan and Harry claimed during their explosive tell-all interview with Oprah in March that one member of the Royal Family had expressed concern about Archie’s skin color.

Harry alleged that during a conversation that happened before Archie’s birth, a Royal shared their concern that Archie could be born with a dark skin tone.

Meghan added that the Royal had felt it would be “a problem” if Archie was dark-skinned.

When asked to name the Royal Harry declined, saying it would be damaging to them.

Princess Anne was allegedly the Royal who expressed concern about Archie’s skin color

Although Harry and Scobie declined to name the Royal who allegedly shared their concern about Archie’s skin color, Monsters & Critics reported that the controversial royal commentator Lady Colin Campbell alleged that Princess Anne was the Royal Harry accused of making racially charged comments about Archie.

Campbell claimed that Anne also offended Harry by questioning Meghan’s suitability to marry into the Royal Family.

According to Campbell, Anne had advised Harry not to marry Meghan because she thought that Meghan was “unsuitable” due to her American cultural background.
