The wait is finally over for Love Island USA Season 3.

New cast members enter the villa, Arielle Vandenberg returns as host, and Matthew Hoffman is back with his hilarious one-liners as narrator.

There’s no question that location plays a crucial part in the success of Love Island USA. Season 1 took place in stunning Fiji, which provided the perfect tropical paradise to fall in love.

Season 2 endured a slew of hurdles because of the coronavirus pandemic. The CBS show created a quarantine bubble to ensure the safety of cast and crew in Las Vegas at the being the Cromwell Hotel.

Although production did its best to make the Caesars Entertainment boutique a tropical paradise, it lacked the awe factor of Season 1.

The streets of Las Vegas did not have the same wow effect as the beaches of Fiji. The show went on for Season 2, which is truly all that matters to viewers.

So, what does the CBS show have in store of the backdrop of the new season?

Where was Love Island USA Season 3 filmed?

Love Island USA Season 3 is in Hilo, Hawaii. Grand Naniloa Hotel. According to Hawaii News Now, the CBS reality TV show took the entire hotel over for the rest of the summer.

Love Island USA helped the community greatly after the pandemic shut down tourism. State Film Commissioner Donne Dawson revealed Love Island took over several other small locales in the area for filming along with the hotel.

Since Love Island USA took over the entire area, viewers and islanders will have the feel of Season 1 with more places to go outside the villa.

When was Love Island USA Season 3 filmed?

Unlike other reality TV shows, Love Island USA films close to real-time. What viewers see playing out on screen happened within the last 24 hours.

The quick turnaround also allows the CBS show to air move episodes in a shorter time frame. Love Island USA normally lasts around five weeks, airing five days a week. This year the schedule is Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 9/8c.

Last year a recap episode took place on Saturdays but so far, it doesn’t look like CBS is going that route again.

The lack of a recap could have to do with content airing on Paramount+, which features action from the villa deemed too racy for network television.

Hawaii is where Love Island USA Season 3 takes place, and it’s filming right now!

Love Island USA Season 3 premieres on Wednesday, July 7 at 9/8c on CBS.
