Counting On is expected to return at some point later this year, though an exact time frame has not been given. With very little information to go on, Duggar fans are worried that watching the show on TLC could soon be over.

With the migration of many of the Duggar family members to YouTube, there is concern that the show could move to a digital platform and no longer be available on cable. Is this the new way of Counting On?

Duggar fans feel confused following Joy-Anna Duggar’s YouTube announcement

Just a few days ago, Joy-Anna Duggar confirmed she and Austin Forsyth were expecting their third child. She uploaded a video she had edited from footage that was filmed over a couple of weeks. It included their announcement to her family and their gender reveal which included both families.

Such a big announcement typically comes either from a video the network puts out in conjunction with branding Counting On or with a big-name magazine that pays for having the first rights. While this may not be cause for concern just yet, it is eye-opening to see the Duggars change their way of doing things.

The true test will come when Joy-Anna Duggar delivers her little girl. Will viewers see a YouTube announcement or will they be shown pictures in a magazine? If Joy and Austin Forsyth choose to do it on their own and monetize their YouTube channel, things could become dicey quickly.

Will Counting On return to TLC?

At this point, there is likely at least one more season coming to the network. TLC has been rumored to be filming with the Duggar family and with Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo in California.

There was also the weekend visit from Jinger Duggar and her daughter Felicity. She spent some time with her sisters and even with her brothers. Rumors swirled she announced a pregnancy, but as of now, she has not spoken out about that at all.

Currently, the coronavirus pandemic is sweeping the country. TLC has not discussed if filming was suspended or not as they have not confirmed another season of Counting On officially yet. If there is a delay in filming, it could push back the new season as well.

Counting On is currently on hiatus as is expected to return later this year on TLC.

Counting On has become boring!

I have watched this family from the very beginning. I have loved watching the children grow up, marry, start their own families. I really hope Counting On continues and that the families being filmed are generously compensated for it. If that doesn’t happen, I hope each of the kids and their families do continue to share theirs lives with us through You Tube. I would subscribe.
