Below Deck’s Captain Lee Rosbach has praised Below Deck Med’s Captain Sandy Yawn after she shaded him about yelling at a drunk charter guest.
Last week Captain Sandy came under fire for dissing Captain Lee and Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s Captain Glenn Shephard while promoting Season 6 of Below Deck Mediterranean.
Viewers have been harsh on Captain Sandy since Season 5 of Below Deck Med, and her words didn’t earn her any points.
The one person she doesn’t need points with, though, is Captain Lee. It turns out despite her shading him that he’s a big fan of his Below Deck Mediterranean counterpart.
What did Captain Lee say about Captain Sandy?
One thing fans can count on from the stud of the sea is for him always to speak his truth in a classy manner.
There’s the occasional time when Captain Lee loses it, like with drunk Delores, but it takes a lot to get him to that point. For the most part, he’s pretty chill, which is one reason Below Deck viewers love him.
In a recent interview on Talk Radio TV, Captain Lee was asked if he and Captain Sandy were friends.
“Absolutely. We come from a unique industry. And she is one of the pioneers by virtue of being a female in a traditionally male-heavy industry that we work in,” he expressed.
Captain Lee also gave Captain Sandy a shout-out for the way she forged through a male-dominated industry and made a name for herself.
“She’s a true trailblazer. She’s led the way in and made it easier for women to break into the industry and be successful at it. And God bless her for doing it,” Captain Lee praised.
Captain Lee gives Captain Glenn props too
The stud of the sea didn’t just praise Captain Sandy. He has also given Captain Glenn props.
When the three Below Deck captains came together for their first interview, Captain Lee gave Captain Glenn a shout-out for the way he handled Parsifal III’s boat crashes.
Poor Captain Glenn can’t get away from discussing the incident or having people weigh in on it. Captain Lee was nothing praising and complimentary. Anyone who watched the episode could see that the issue was a malfunction with the sailing yacht, not Captain Glenn.
Captain Lee Rosbach has been at the helm of Below Deck for nearly nine seasons, and fans still can’t get enough of him. One reason is his kindness, which he should when praising Below Deck Mediterranean’s Captain Sandy Yawn as a trailblazer in the yachting world.
