Big Brother 21 recap

Jack Matthews is currently the Head of Household. He won the competition after narrowly beating out Jessica Milagros. Once he took the power, he was able to nominate two people for eviction.

Jack nominated Kemi Fakunle and Jessica for eviction, continuing his plan to get both ladies out of the house. His primary target has been Kemi, meaning she knew how important it would be to win the Power of Veto.

Season 21, Episode 7 preview

The most important component of the new episode is to cover who won the Power of Veto and if the POV winner decided to use that power. By the end of the episode, the final nominees for eviction will be set.

As a reminder, the CBS schedule has shifted a bit. This means that the new episode on July 10 is going to be an hour later than usual. It will kick off at 9/8c on CBS, but you can also follow along in this article (live) as everything takes place on Wednesday evening.

Big Brother Season 21, Episode 7 recap

The opening recap from the producers was a long one. It went all the way back to host Julie Chen explaining how Camp Comeback would work. The recap worked all the way through Jack’s nominations. That included pointing out how quickly the Black Widow alliance had crumbled.

Jack explained his nominations during a Diary Room session, stating that he was trying to take out the side of the house that wasn’t in his alliance. Jessica felt Jack was being given the wrong information. Kemi talked about playing a reserved game but revealed that she wanted the chance to go after Jack.

Big Brother earthquake

A second major earthquake hit Southern California and the houseguests were shown reacting to it. It was a pretty brief segment.

Ovi and David were called to the Diary Room to put on their Camp Comeback uniforms. They resembled something that Boy Scouts wear and it appeared to be part of the punishment for being outside the game.

Power of Veto players picked

Jack Matthews picked Isabella Wang to play for the Power of Veto. Jessica Milagros then got her choice and she went with Jackson Michies. Kemi Fakunle picked Sam Smith to complete the list of players.

Nicole Anthony was shown in a Diary Room stating that Jessica should have picked her (they are friends) because she would have saved her from the block. David didn’t understand either, calling it a “really, really bad move” and that the people have no idea what is going on in the game.

Power of Veto Competition

Tyler Crispen from Big Brother 20 arrived to host the Week 2 Veto Competition. He announced that the POV winner would also receive a trip to Fiji.

The challenge involved stacking frogs retrieved from a pond constructed in the backyard. The player stacking the most frogs would win the Power of Veto.

Sam Smith won the Power of Veto and the trip to Fiji.

Veto Ceremony results

The Big Brother Season 21, Episode 7 recap comes to a close with the results from the Veto Ceremony. Sam decided that he didn’t want to risk anything by shaking up the nominations and decided to keep everything the same.

At the next Eviction Ceremony, the house will decide whether to evict Kemi Fakunle or Jessica Milagros.

Before the episode came to a close, though, Sam was called to the Diary Room, where he learned that his grandfather had died.

Big Brother airs CBS episodes on Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights.
