Some Survivor 41 cast spoilers have been revealed, and it is all good news as far as we are concerned.
According to Martin Holmes from Inside Survivor — a very reliable source of information about everything Survivor — there will be no returning cast members for Survivor 41.
After Winners At War, where everyone was a returning player, it’s good that the show’s producers are looking to instill some new blood into the show. It’s very much needed, and it could help prolong the success of the reality competition show at CBS.
Sure, some themes could be fun to explore down the road, like another second chance season, but it’s time to try new things with new casts.
And maybe some new fan-favorite characters will emerge over the next year.
Survivor 41 and Survivor 42 about to begin filming
These casting spoilers are becoming available because the show is ready to get back to filming. There have been many production delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic, forcing CBS to cancel the fall 2020 and spring 2021 seasons.
Fear not, though, because Survivor should return in fall 2021 with the Season 41 cast. CBS should also air Survivor 42 in spring 2022, especially if the current filming schedule plays out like anticipated.
Survivor 42 cast ready to play the game
Not only is the Survivor 41 cast ready to begin filming soon, but it should be quickly followed by the Survivor 42 cast playing out its season this spring.
The production team is back to filming seasons consecutively, meaning as soon as the Survivor 41 cast has finished filming, the Survivor 42 cast will step up to the plate.
As Martin Holmes tells it, the Survivor 42 cast is also comprised of only newbies. That’s continued great news for fans who have grown tired of seeing the same faces come back three or four times to play the game.
With so much time to prep the next two casts of the show, there will be high expectations for the seasons. Hopefully, the casting team and the show’s production can deliver something fun, fresh, and exciting to the die-hard fans of the show.
For Survivor fans who haven’t heard about it yet, CBS stated how casting for its reality competition shows will now be done. Each cast for Big Brother, Survivor, and The Amazing Race will be at least 50 percent people of color.
It’s a push to increase diversity at the network, and the first show that will make it to air with this new casting formula is Big Brother 23 this summer.
Survivor is currently on hiatus at CBS.
