In the spring of 2018, fans of Jersey Shore rejoiced when the original cast members reunited for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. But there was one conspicuous absence. Samantha “Sammi Sweetheart” Giancola declined to return for the new series and was eventually replaced by Angelina Pivarnick.
The addition of Angelina has been controversial, and she’s caused a lot of drama on the show. Many fans called for Sam to return, but she stuck to her guns.
A new relationship for Sam
Sammi notoriously dated Ron while on Jersey Shore (who could forget her catchphrase, Rahn Stahhp?), but both have moved on.
Ron has become a father with his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Jen Harley. Their shenanigans have been featured on Family Vacation.
Sam, on the other hand, has said that she’s very happy with where she is in life, and that seems apparent. She’s got a new man, Christian Biscardi.
Christian, like Sam, is a New Jersey native, and the two have been together happily since 2017. They got engaged last year when Christian proposed with a ring custom designed by Paul Cozzi of Cozzi Jewelers. The square, princess-cut platinum and diamond ring clocks in at a hefty four carats.
Saying yes to the dress
Yesterday, Sammi announced via Instagram that she’d picked out a dress. She went to Castle Couture Bridal in Manalapan, NJ — the same place where Mrs. Situation Lauren Sorrentino chose her dress.
Sammi didn’t give a hint about what the dress looked like — there’s a dress visible in the picture she posted, but it won’t be the one Sammi will wear to walk down the aisle. Her only hint: “the consultant actually picked the dress and it was something I never would’ve thought I’d wear, ever.”
Like many brides, she wants to wait until the wedding to reveal her dress. Fans are anticipating the big day, but we’re sure she’ll look beautiful!
Sam documented the dress-selection process on the YouTube channel she runs with Christian in a video entitled “How to Shop for the Perfect Wedding Dress.”
Castle Couture bridal manager Christina was featured in the video, and she gave her best tips for shopping for the big day. She recommended trusting the bridal consultant, bringing photos, and trying on lots of different styles.
Christian and Sam’s wedding won’t be featured on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, but wedding lovers will get to see Angelina Pivarnick’s wedding — and all the drama that surrounds it — this season.
