Clare Crawley was this morning officially revealed as the next Bachelorette.

The former reality star had previously hinted that she was done with television after failing to find everlasting love on four separate attempts within the Bachelor franchise.

However, she has now accepted the chance to finally find a match on The Bachelorette Season 16, which will start filming shortly.

Crawley was introduced to the world on Juan Pablo Galavis’ season of The Bachelor.

She would later attempt to find love on Bachelor In Paradise seasons 1 and 2 and finally on Winter Games.

Clare Crawley stood up for herself on The Bachelor

ABC and Bachelorette producers have yet to reveal why they chose Clare but after Peter Weber’s section of women, many viewers felt that they needed to go for someone older. Clare is currently 38.

This morning, Clare opened up to Good Morning America about wanting to find love — and revealed she still couldn’t believe that she is actually going to be the next Bachelorette.

She explained that the most important thing for her is that she wants a strong man who can take off his armour and show off his emotional side.

She also made reference to her breakup with Juan Pablo. During his finale, he didn’t pick her and Clare set him straight. She ended up walking off the set, slamming him over the way he had treated her.

You can watch the breakup below.

Clare told GMA that since The Bachelor she has been dating, and that she usually goes for younger guys. She said she isn’t too concerned about having a man who’s younger than her — but more about whether they can handle her.

We guessed over the weekend that Clare would be the next Bachelorette, after a tip from Reality Steve.

Clare Crawley got engaged once before

Even though Clare has yet to find love doesn’t mean she doesn’t believe in the process. In fact, she has been proposed to once before, by Benoit Beausejour-Savard on Bachelor Winter Games.

The two got engaged but later realized that marriage wouldn’t work for them. Their romance would later surface on Bachelor In Paradise in a conversation where Benoit and Jordan Kimball got into a fight over their individual values.

You can see Benoit propose to Clare below.

After the failed proposal, Clare went back home to Sacramento, California. She currently works as a hairstylist and she shares her home with her two dogs, Elby and Honey.

The Bachelorette is expected to air this spring on ABC.
