Poldark is back on PBS this month with a second season

Tonight – with Season 2 of Poldark almost here PBS is airing a behind the scenes look at the making of the popular drama.

The one-hour special follows the cast and filmmakers as they lift the characters from the pages of Winston Graham’s novels and bring them to life on the smallscreen.

Poldark is set amongst the rugged and wild coast of Cornwall in South West England and the passions of characters have proved to be just as fierce as the storms that lash this untamed landscape.

The Infamous Scything Scene

The 18th century drama follows the adventures of Captain Ross Poldark as he tries to put his life back together after returning home from the American War of Independence.

Aidan Turner stars as Captain Ross Poldark, Eleanor Tomlinson plays Demelza, Heida Reed Elizabeth and Jack Farthing plays Poldark’s nemesis George Warleggan.

The show is mostly filmed on location in Cornwall and has been a huge hit on both sides of the Atlantic.

Watch Poldark Revealed tonight at 9 PM on PBS and season 2 kicks off with a two-hour special on September 25th at 8/7c.
