7 Little Johnstons fans have gotten to know James Burdette over the last few years. He was the not-boyfriend of Elizabeth Johnston, the middle daughter of Amber and Trent. The two had an adorable friendship, one that was more romantic in the end.
The brand new season of 7 Little Johnstons premiered last night and with it came some sad news for Elizabeth Johnston. She revealed that James had broken up with her, and she wasn’t clear on the actual reason why. Burdette reportedly told her he needed time to focus on himself, but that wasn’t the only thing she believed.
In fact, Amber and Trent talked about how they had to take Elizabeth’s phone following the breakup so that things could calm down. It wasn’t that she did anything wrong, it was just that each time there was or wasn’t communication, things escalated.
It was clear that Elizabeth Johnston was heartbroken over the breakup. The two had been friends for two years as she was not officially able to date until she turned 16, which happened near the end of 2017. Unfortunately, the two only dated for four months before he broke her heart.
The confessionals from Elizabeth showed that she was still saddened by the way things with James Burdette ended. She suspected there was more to his story and a little while later, he was sharing photos of him with another girl. This was not sitting well with Elizabeth, and some of it will play out in future episodes.
