The Facts of Life cast is reuniting for a new Lifetime Christmas movie. You Light Up My Christmas will bring Kim Fields, Mindy Cohn, Lisa Whelchel, and Nancy McKeon together again on the small screen.

Sadly, the ladies won’t play their famous characters, Tootie, Natalie, Blair, and Jo. The flick is not a Facts of Life reunion but is simply reuniting the lovely ladies in a new movie.

You Light Up My Christmas is inspired by true events. Emma (Kim Fields) returns to her hometown, which was built around her family’s pioneer Christmas Light Factory. She is shocked to learn the once festive town, has gone dark. Emma decides to team up with her old flame, Ben (Adrian Holmes), to bring back the lights and holiday festivities to the town.

Nancy, Lisa, and Mindy play the three owners of the town ice-skating rink. In a nod to their former Facts of Life costar and beloved friend, Charlotte Rae, the outdoor rink is named Charlotte. It was Kim’s idea to have her friends play the owners of the rink. She wanted to bring them all together again.

After making a few calls, the ladies were all on board to star in the movie, just as Kim had hoped. There was a hiccup during filming. Nancy had an unexpected family emergency that kept her from going to Vancouver to film. The group figured out the perfect way to have her appear in the movie, without having to leave her family.

“We’re still on screen together. It was one of the hardest things that she ever had to go through, and she still put it down for me,” Kim shared with TVLine.
