The new Dancing with the Stars recap comes from a really fun episode. The top six couples got to take part in Boy Band & Girl Group Night on DWTS. It required each couple to perform two dances on the night.

Last week, Kate Flannery was the celebrity that went home. She had been performing with professional dancer Pasha Pashkov, and they had received a lot of support from the judges. The fans just didn’t vote enough for them.

The duo of Sean Spicer and Jenna Johnson had the lowest scores last week, but they survived to battle again. Sean’s original partner, Lindsay Arnold, suffered a death in her family, causing her to take time off from the show.

For the new DWTS episode, two guest judges were ready to share the panel with Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli. Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) of the Spice Girls and Joey Fatone of *NSYNC were scheduled to be there to help.

Bunton was supposed to judge the girl group performances but wasn’t able to make it to the show. Fatone stepped in to cover for her and also judge the boy band dances.

Dancing with the Stars recap: Round one

Lauren Alaina and Gleb Savchenko performed a quickstep to You Can’t Hurry Love by The Supremes. They scored 34 points

Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber notched a perfect samba to Wannabe by Spice Girls. Bunton would have loved it, but they still managed to get all 40 points.

Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten started out with a salsa to No Scrubs by TLC, netting a score of 32 points from the four judges.

Kel Mitchell and Witney Carson started out with a paso doble to Free Your Mind from En Vogue. They notched 34 points in the first round.

Sean Spicer and Jenna Johnson did the Argentine tango to Bills, Bills, Bills by Destiny’s Child. They got a score of just 26 out of 40 points.

James Van Der Beek and Emma Slate performed a jive to I’m So Excited by The Pointer Sisters. The couple earned four nines, leading to a combined score of 36.

Dancing with the Stars recap: Round two

James and Emma did a jazz number to Bye Bye Bye from *NYNC and emerged with a nice 36 points in the second round.

Sean and Jenna had a foxtrot in round two. They danced to Story of My Life by One Direction and scored 24 points this time.

Hannah and Alan performed an impressive tango to Boy with Luv by BTS. They got very close to a perfect score, notching 39 points for the round.

Ally and Sasha notched another perfect score by dancing a jazz number to Step by Step from New Kids on the Block. This was their second perfect score of the evening.

Lauren and Gleb got the chance to do a rumba. They performed I Want It That Way by the Backstreet Boys and earned a score of 36 points.

Kel and Witney achieved a perfect score in round two. They performed a Viennese waltz to I’ll Make Love to You by Boyz II Men and they brought the house down.

What couple got voted off Dancing with the Stars?

The bottom two couples were Lauren and Gleb, as well as Sean and Jenna. This was the first time that the judges were able to actually judge Sean as part of the bottom two. They didn’t take long, sending Sean and Jenna out the door.

Dancing with the Stars airs Monday nights at 8/7c on ABC.
