The Masked Singer Season 3 debuted on Sunday night following the Super Bowl. After a great game between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, it was time for the reality competition show to start up again.
Normally, Season 3 of The Masked Singer will air on Wednesday nights, but this was a special presentation to get fans interested in the show again. It appears to have worked because social media was really buzzing.
Who are The Masked Singer contestants?
Six new masked contestants took to the stage during the February 2 episode. They were Kangaroo, Llama, Miss Monster, Robot, Turtle, and White Tiger. This is Group A from the winter 2020 version of the season.
When the show returns for the February 5 episode, the members of Group A who survived the season premiere will take the stage against each other again.
The Group B contestants this season are Banana, Elephant, Frog, Kitty, Mouse, and Taco. They will start competing once Group A has decided on its top three.
Then there is Group C, which is comprised of Astronaut, Bear, Night Angel, Rhino, Swan, and T-Rex. They will get their shot once Group A and Group B each have just three people left.

Who is unmasked and sent home on The Masked Singer?
It was exciting to have The Masked Singer back on television, but it also meant that someone was going to be sent home by the end of the night.
White Tiger performed to Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice, Turtle did Kiss From a Rose by Seal, Llama sang She Bangs by Ricky Martin, Miss Monster did a fun Something to Talk About by Bonnie Raitt, Robot sang Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz, and Kangaroo performed Dancing On My Own by Robyn.
After all six of them performed, the in-studio audience and judge’s panel voted on their favorite contestant. The person with the least amount of votes, Robot, was sent home.
When Robot was unmasked, it turned out that it was rapper Lil Wayne.

Last season, it was Wayne Brady dressed up as Fox who won the show. Many viewers and some of the judge’s panel had initially thought that it was Jamie Foxx. That made it amusing for Foxx to guest-judge the Season 3 premiere.
