Dancing with the Stars finale recap

The party gets started with an opening dance number to Last Dance, by Donna Summer.

During the first round of dances tonight, the couples are performing their favorite dance from the season.

Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber started things off with their jive to Proud Mary, by Tina Turner. It was a tough spot to be in after the emotional ending to the semi-finals that sent James Van Der Beek home.

The trio of judges gave them a perfect score, starting off the night for Ally and Sasha in a big way.

They were awarded with nines from each of the judges to notch a score of 27 points in the first round.

Kel Mitchell and Witney Carson became the third couple to perform in the first round. They elected to dance their jazz number inspired by We’re All in This Together from High School Musical again.
