NCIS: Hawai’i cast member Vanessa Lachey has known Wilmer Valderrama from the NCIS cast for a long time.

A big crossover episode between the two shows is coming up this spring, but it isn’t the first time that the duo has been on TV together.

Now, Lachey and Valderrama are known for their roles on hit CBS dramas, with those shows helping to drive Monday night ratings for the network.

Lachey and Valderrama have been in the Hollywood spotlight for a while now, stretching back to their days working on MTV shows.

Vanessa Lachey and Wilmer Valderrama were on TRL together

“#TRLTuesday with these babies! Before Tennant & Torres it’s was VW in NYC! #2006,” Vanessa Lachey captioned a pair of Instagram photos that showed herself and Wilmer Valderrama on a 2006 episode of Total Request Live (TRL).

This also wasn’t the first time that Lachey has shared an Instagram post with Valderrama in it. A little while before the TRL throwback was done, Lachey was talking about NCIS: Hawai’i in an Instagram video when Valderrama popped up in the background.

This definitely looks like Lachey and Valderrama were in the same location to film the upcoming NCIS crossover event with NCIS: Hawai’i. The episode should get a lot of promotion from CBS when it gets closer to the big air date.

More news and notes from the world of NCIS

While NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i are currently on hiatus at CBS, there has been a lot of news about NCIS: Los Angeles coming out.

The NCIS: LA return date for Season 13 was finally revealed, giving fans a look at when the next episode will arrive. The show was supposed to have a double-feature recently, but that got scrapped as CBS covered additional NFL playoff action.

Some NCIS: LA cancellation rumors started with star Eric Christian Olsen after a post he made on social media. He plays Marty Deeks on the NCIS cast, so he definitely knows what’s going on with the show, and he threw a lot of cold water on the hopes for NCIS: Los Angeles Season 14.

There are a lot of NCIS: LA fans who are worried about the show coming to an end, and they have been posting a lot about what Eric Christian Olsen had to say. As for the show itself, hopefully, it is still on the air long enough to have another true crossover episode with NCIS or NCIS: Hawai’i.

NCIS airs at 9/8c and NCIS: Hawai’i airs at 10/9c Mondays on CBS.
