Krystal Nielson had already been dubbed the villain of The Bachelor Season 22 — but it wasn’t until this week’s instalment that “Hurricane Krystal” finally arrived.

Things got tense in her and Arie Luyendyk Jr.‘s relationship last week, but during filming for this week’s instalment things totally imploded.

What is Krystal’s background?

Krystal is a 29-year-old fitness coach from Missoula, MT. And she’s not just one of these people who says she’s a fitness coach, she’s the real deal.

According to her staff profile at Orange Theory fitness in San Diego she is a “NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM MMA Conditioning Specialist, Nationally-Qualified Bikini Competitor, Yoga Sculpt Instructor” as well as an “Ambassador for Yoga for Homeless, Sponsored Athlete, Pet Parent to three gorgeous puppies, and Health and Fitness Coach”.

She studied at the NASM National Academy of Sports Medicine. Her main focus is flexibility and strength.

She previously worked in radio and TV as a music producer and co-host after studying broadcasting at Boise State University in Idaho. She moved from Boise to LA in 2012 to pursue a dream of making it big in entertainment, and spent some time studying at UCLA before moving to San Diego to become a full-time fitness coach.

Where is she on social media?

Krystal’s big presence is on Instagram, where she has more than 65,000 followers and regularly posts work-out pics and videos.

She’s also just started posting videos on her new YouTube channel “Coach Krystal”, focusing on workouts and healthy eating.
