Todd Chrisley diagnosed with gout: What is it?

Todd Chrisley on Chrisley Knows Best
Todd Chrisley has had his fair share of health problems recently

Todd Chrisley has been through a lot this season on Chrisley Knows Best. With everything he has going on, being sick is just not something he has time for.

Earlier this season, Todd Chrisley was walking around with a bandage on his neck. Fans were concerned, but it was explained on Chrisley Knows Best. Chrisley had a salivary gland burst and wearing the bandage was necessary when filming began.

The sneak peek for the upcoming Chrisley Knows Best episode features Todd Chrisley having another health crisis. He is being filmed at the doctor’s office and is diagnosed with gout. It is called the “king’s disease,” so naturally Chrisley takes that to heart.

Gout is a form of arthritis that typically occurs in your foot, generally around the big toe joint. Flair ups can occur in the middle of the night, leading to feelings of burning sensations. Symptoms include redness, soreness, and limited mobility.

Although Todd Chrisley isn’t near obese at all, diet definitely can be a contributing factor to gout. Also, men can develop the condition between the ages of 30-50, which is a bit younger than it is typically diagnosed.

More details will likely be forthcoming once the episode airs. One thing is for sure though, Todd Chrisley is floored with his family’s lack of empathy.

Chrisley Knows Best airs Tuesday nights on the USA network at 10/9c
