The new deal will mean PBS KIDS shows remain exclusively streamable on Amazon Prime

PBS KIDS series will remain available to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime for years to come under a new deal.

An multi-year agreement between the two companies means after the shows air on PBS they will later be added exclusively to Amazon so families with Prime memberships can watch them as and when.

The shows will be viewable online, and on televisions via the Amazon Video app as well as through things like Fire TV and mobiles.

For trips in the car or other occasions where there’s not going to be any wifi, parents will be able to download the programs so their kids can watch them offline on tablets and mobile phones.

Much of PBS KIDS’s content is aimed at helping develop kids’ social and emotional skills.

Shows that will be available include everything from Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood to Martha Speaks and Odd Squad. Others that will feature include Arthur, Dinosaur Train, Wild Kratts, WordGirl, Peg + Cat, Nature Cat and Ready Jet Go!
