The fall finale was Season 9 Episode 8 of The Walking Dead. Toward the end of the episode, a group of survivors was trying to defend themselves against an odd group of walkers.
Jesus was showing off a lot of great moves as he dispatched of walkers left and right, showing all the training that actor Tom Payne had put into this role. Then, in the middle of another impressive take down, a walker ducked and impaled Jesus with a knife.
The odd walker was taken down by other survivors, only to find out that this wasn’t a walker at all. It was a man with a mask on. Meanwhile, Jesus appears to take his final breaths and the character dies.
The death of Jesus was a sad moment for The Walking Dead cast, but more so for viewers who had really enjoyed watching the character.
Losing Tom Payne as one of the main actors adds to the growing list of people who have spent their final moments on the cast. The time has also arrived for another popular cast member to leave the show.
