For anyone that was a sceptic out there, Meow The Jewels is real and it has finally been released this past Friday (9/25) and you can download it for free! Meow The Jewels began as a joke, which then became a Kickstarter page and is now an album that is surfacing the internet and is most likely going to be as popular as Run The Jewels second album, RTJ2. Even though this is all a joke and has some pretty hilarious remixes, there are some impressive names that have contributed to the making of the album. Such as, Geoff Barrow from Portishead, Zola Jesus, the Alchemist, Blood Diamonds, Nick Hook and many, many more!
Not only will you be able to keep this album in the depths of your hard drive, but you can also purchase it on vinyl! The best thing about this album and what should really make people wanna shell out a few bucks for it is that all the proceeds will be going to charities that help victims of police brutality. At the end of the day, El-P and Killer Mike are giant teddy bears who not only want to bring about peace through their music, but show others the importance of being kind and peaceful.
