Londre Sylvester, 31, was shot to death in an apparent ambush following his release from Cook County Jail. Sylvester was a local Chicago rapper best known as KTS Dre (Dreko).

KTS Dre is the brother of KTS Von or Kutthroat Von, who was shot to death in 2015.

According to a police report, KTS Dre was struck with 64 gunshot wounds to the head, chest, and other areas on his body.

Two other victims were shot but survived. They were reportedly family members picking up Londre from prison.

A 60-year-old woman, believed to be his mother, was hit in the knee and is reportedly in good condition.

The second victim, reportedly the victim’s 30-year-old sister, was hit in the mouth but is also in good condition.

It is suspected that Sylvester was the only intended target.

According to the police report, KTS Dre was just released from jail on bail and was wearing an electronic monitor.

The late rapper and the 60-year-old woman were walking “to an awaiting vehicle when several unknown (suspects) exited two separate vehicles, and all began to shoot in Sylvester’s direction, striking him numerous times,” the Chicago Tribune reports.

KTS Dre alleged killers fled in different directions

Londre Sylvester stood on the 2700 block of West 27th Street in Little Village, across the street from the jail, shortly before 9.pm in the evening.

Multiple shooters approached him from two vehicles and opened fire on the 31-year-old.

According to the police report, they went back to their vehicles and fled the scene in different directions.

KTS Dre was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about 30 to 40 minutes after the fatal shooting.

Police have not named any suspects to the media at the time of writing this report. Surveillance cameras in the area of the shooting will be reviewed by investigating police officers.

KTS Dre was affiliated with a notorious Chicago gang

KTS or Kill to Survive is a Chicago gang set of Gangster Disciples and Vice Lords. KTS Dre was associated with the Lakeside GD set along with his brother KTS Von.

Sylvester’s brother, Kutthroat Von, was better known for his music and gangster reputation. His song Kill to Survive has over 4 million views on YouTube.

He also had a feud with Chicago rapper G Herbo when he was alive.

KTS Von and KTS Dre were both murdered by armed men who approached them in vehicles.

KTS Dre’s girlfriend paid tribute to him on Instagram with several posts.

Rest in peace, KTS Dre.
