Hip-hop veteran Treach tonight slams ex-wife Pepa over claims in her book that he abused her — saying it contained “a whole lot of lies”.

Treach, who was the lead rapper in Naughty By Nature, says on Growing Up Hip Hop that Salt-N-Pepa star Pepa, real name Sandra Denton, “demonized” him in the autobiography, which was released in 2010.

He makes the comments about the book, Let’s Talk About Pep, when confronted about the claims by daughter Egypt Criss, who he had with Pepa.

It comes after she finally decided to read the book in the last episode of Growing Up Hip Hop. One passage she read said: “It always started with him pulling on my hair. I guess to get a good-enough grip on me so he could smack me more easily.”

However, tonight when Egypt tells Treach that she has read the book he tells her: “It was a whole lot of lies.” He adds angrily: “To sell a book, and to demonize me?!”

Egypt is left in tears by what her father tells her, and a description for the episode says Treach breaks down as well.

The episode comes after Treach took to Instagram to slam his ex-wife earlier this year, with a message calling Pepa a “press w***e”.

Watch Treach talk about Pepa’s claims in the sneak peek for this week’s Growing Up Hip Hop below:

Growing Up Hip Hop airs Thursdays at 9/8c on WE tv.
