The two websites selling tickets for tours of Oak Island crashed after going on sale due to huge demand from fans of The Curse of Oak Island.
Tickets for private, semi-private and public tours hosted by Oak Island Tours Inc. and the Friends of Oak Island Society all went on sale but were hit by technical issues.
We previously told how high demand was forecast due to the popularity of The Curse of Oak Island, with tickets set to go on sale in record time.
Both Oak Island Tours Inc, who carry out the private and semi private tours, and Friends of Oak Island Society, who carry out the public tours, apologized for problems with the ticketing website.
They later said people had eventually been able to buy tickets but more may become available in coming days once some issues had been resolved.
Public tours are taking place this year on June 23 and 24, July 7 and 8, July 21 and 22, August 11 and 12, August 18 and 19, and September 1and 16.
Meanwhile, private and semi-private tours will take place on May 19, 20, 26 and 27, June 2, 3, 9, 10 and 17, July 14, 15, 28 and 29, August 25 and 26, September 8, 9, 22 and 23, and October 6, 7, 13 and 14.
The sale of tour tickets comes ahead of next week’s Season 5 finale.
