Preparations for the epic Street Outlaws vs. Fast N’ Loud Mega Race rev up on Discovery tonight — as tensions ahead of the showdown build big-style.
The ultimate head-to-head, to be screened on the network on March 27, will see Gas Monkey’s Richard Rawlings taking on the Okie Street Outlaws’ Big Chief and Murder Nova in a drag race.
Meanwhile, recently departed former Gas Monkey mechanic Aaron Kaufman will compete against the Outlaws’ Farmtruck and AZN in a skills contest.
The race was made reality after a fan challenged the two sides to do it online — and Discovery delivered.
Watch our exclusive clip below from tonight’s Street Outlaws vs. Fast N’ Loud: Build to Mega Race Part III episode, as we go behind the scenes during the build-up to the showdown which will be held at the neutral location of Fontana, CA.
The episode sees the Street Outlaws crew agreeing to the contest, before starting work on building their cars with time running out fast.
Big Chief is adamant he and his team will easily smoke the Fast N’ Loud crew, and gives the Outlaws’ HQ the new nickname of “The Crush Richard Rawlings Garage”.
But a car choice mistake by Farmtruck and AZN during their budget build puts a wrench in their timing.
Meanwhile, Chief and Shawn start the process to find their ideal racer, but may have to adjust their pie-in-the-sky hopes and dreams when they realise what they want is very hard to find.
Drama also ensues when Chief gets wind of rumors about Richard and his team which leaves him wondering if he really wants to build a car at all.
Who are you putting your money on?
Street Outlaws vs. Fast N’ Loud: Build to Mega Race Part III airs tonight at 9/8c on Discovery. The Mega Race showdown will air on Monday, March 27, at 9/8c.
