The Bold and the Beautiful: What’s your definition of insanity?

The Bold and the Beautiful fans who have long suffered through tired iterations of Bridge would be forgiven for wondering, “are the powers that be insane?” After all, as the saying goes, insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.

But if that is truly the case, then we all are guilty of a little insanity. Tell the truth, did you overeat yesterday and are you going Black Friday shopping today? Over and over again, I swear I will not have fourths for Thanksgiving dinner, and the next day I will not waddle off to join the rampaging mobs at the mall.

And yet, here I am, stuffed the morning after the night before just like poor old Harold was (everyone names their turkey before it goes in the oven, right?), and getting ready to mosey over to the mall (it was my friend’s idea, really!).

So, I give B&B writers a little slack when it comes to the endless, eternal, and for many fans maddening cycle, of recycled relationships like Bridge.

This week Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) kissed Brook (Katherine Kelly Lang) goodbye (again), apparently ready to trade up to Shauna (Denise Richards).

It couldn’t have come too soon for many of you! Our poll results show that B&B fans are sick and tired of retread stories like Bridge, with one fan saying, “I broke up with The Bold and the beautiful last week. I deleted the 10 episode in my queue and removed it from my DVR series recordings. ?‍♂‍?‍♂‍” and another responding, “I hope the f… so, sick of this 32 year dysfunctional repetitive storyline! ?”

Many folks have had enough of the insanity and would like to see Bridge dynamited once and for all.

What do you think, is Bridge finally demolished? Have your say in our poll and tell us what you think!

The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS.
