The saying that what goes around comes around is especially true in the world of soaps. The Bold and the Beautiful fans were barely aware of Ingo Rademacher’s departure from the CBS sudser when fervent fans began demanding his return to the ABC soap General Hospital.
With news of Rademacher’s departure from B&B confirmed, the show is once again without Thorne Forrester. What this means for his new bride Katie, (Heather Tom) remains to be seen, and some fans are already speculating about her exit.
But does Rademacher’s sudden availability mean he’s destined to return as Jax on GH? Loyal fans are hoping so, and with the state of the CarSon union in a right royal mess, anything is possible!

My Bold and Beautiful status. It is true what you are hearing and I think it’s time to set the record straight. I have decided to not continue with my contract on The Bold and The Beautiful and I’ll be finishing up my last episodes in January. I want to thank Brad Bell( we’ve been communicating) the entire show and cast (truly awesome people) and also CBS for a fun year of playing Thorne. We are parting on good terms and with the possibility of a return. We shall see what the new year brings. Yes i have been in Hawaii for the last 2 month with my family working on my property and will continue to stay here throughout January but then it’s back to LA. #coffetalk
Rademacher set the record straight on Instagram, saying, “It is true what you are hearing and I think it’s time to set the record straight. I have decided to not continue with my contract on The Bold and The Beautiful and I’ll be finishing up my last episodes in January.
“Yes i have been in Hawaii for the last 2 month [sic] with my family working on my property and will continue to stay here throughout January but then it’s back to LA. #coffetalk,” he continued.
It’s that last part about returning to L.A. that has fans buzzing with the prospect that GH scoops him up and in turn, he scoops Carly (Laura Wright) up out of her misery with Sonny and his newfound fascination with the D.A. Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson).
Is it too good to be true that Jax returns to Port Charles? There are at least two reasons he’s desperately needed. First, Joss (Eden McCoy) needs her dad with all of the Oscar (Garren Stitt) drama and second, Carly deserves better than to see Sonny flirt with that vixen who tried to put him down like a dog!
Be sure to tune in to see how the world of daytime turns folks, there is lots of action on the horizon!
The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays during the day on CBS.
