General Hospital spoilers for the Friday, November 2, 2018 episode of ABC’s sudser tease that Halloween may be over but the horrors and frights have just begun for one hunky law enforcement officer.

On Friday, in what is sure to be a cliffhanger for the ages, Chase (Josh Swickard) stumbles across a horrifying, stultifying situation that shocks even him.

In other news, that bad girl Ava (Maura West) has some ‘splaining to do, but instead, she makes excuses for her behavior. I know, shocking right? If she’s not careful, she will live (maybe die?) to regret the day she ever crossed paths with psycho Ryan (Jon Lindstrom).

Elsewhere, the most visible Cassadine still lurking in Port Charles receives a stern warning. Does Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) comeuppance come at the hands of his beloved lost love? Nina (Michelle Stafford) is grateful to the evil-doer for his random good deed, but that’s as far as it goes apparently. He found her long-lost daughter Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), which was a terrific act of semi-beneficence for him anyway. Now that the deal is done, Val would love for Nina to fall into his arms, but it’s not to be in the immediate future.

Elsewhere, Carly (Laura Wright) is having a hard time reconciling what she went through at Ferncliff, the sanitarium for the criminally insane. Yes, it was her idea to inspect the place from top to bottom, but just because we can doesn’t mean we should!

In the aftermath of her visit, the shaken lady has some reckoning to do.

Meanwhile, that lovable legal eagle Scotty (Kin Shriner) is feeling magnanimous. Spoilers reveal that he wants to help someone in need and will extend a friendly hand. But is the person welcoming or the opposite?

General Hospital airs on weekdays on ABC.
