In 2014 allegations began to surface that he’d committed various sexual assaults on women dating back decades. In all 51 women accused him of rape, drug facilitated sexual assault and a wide range of related crimes.
Many of these fell outside the statutes of limitations but various civil law suits are pending and he has been charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault in Pennsylvania. 79-year-old Cosby was released on $1 million bail and the case is due to start this summer.
