Rita Wilson makes a guest appearance in this week’s episode of Pitch, as Ginny’s therapist.

Upon signing a huge deal with Nike, Ginny (Kylie Bunbury) feels an overwhelming sense of pressure, which leads to a night of rebellion and a mandatory session with Rita’s character.

The episode, titled Wear It, also guest-stars Kevin Connolly, Joanna Garcia Swisher and Lyndsy Fonseca.

Rita has had a hugely successful career so far as an actress as well as a singer and a producer. Her personal life’s not bad either — she’s been married to Tom Hanks since 1988!

One of Rita’s first TV appearances was on The Brady Bunch in 1972.

In the early 1980s, she appeared in a couple of episodes of M*A*S*H and Happy Days. Then her role in Sleepless in Seattle in 1993 led to parts in other films, such as That Thing You Do, Psycho, and Runaway Bride.

The last few years have seen Rita regularly gracing our TV screens in shows like The Good Wife and Full Circle. She recently also starred in My Big Fat Greek Wedding II.

Rita was born Margarita Ibrahimoff in LA in 1956. She has two children, Chester and Truman. She went to Hollywood High School in California and also studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) in England.

Rita has been quoted as saying: “I’ve never wanted to be a big star. I just want to keep on working.” We hope she continues to work for many years to come.

Pitch airs every Thursday at 8.59/7.59c on FOX.
