Clayton Echard is set to appear on Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette.
The 28-year-old medical sales rep hails from Colombia, Missouri. Before going into medical sales, he was a football player who played for the Missouri Tigers and Seattle Seahawks.
According to his ABC bio, he aspires to open and own multiple gyms.
In addition to his ambition, he has “good looks, a great job and a wonderful family” and now he’s looking for “the perfect woman with whom to share his life.”
It seems that Michelle is just his type for many reasons as “his dream woman is funny, independent, intelligent and athletic enough to join him at the gym for a workout.”
Michelle played basketball throughout her college career and keeps up with her fitness to this day. Plus, Michelle was renowned for having a great sense of humor on set while filming Matt James’s season of The Bachelor.
Additionally, Michelle has something in common with one of the most important women in Clayton’s life– his mom.
His bio reads, “Clayton is so excited to meet Michelle and loves that she has a passion for her career. His mom is a teacher just like Michelle, and he finds it impressive that she’s made this journey work without having to take time away from her students.”

Clayton, unfortunately, is not the man who wins Michelle’s heart at the end of the season.
It’s unclear exactly when he goes home, but he makes it at least to the top 12 when filming moves from California to Minnesota.
While Clayton may not have made it super far on The Bachelorette, he isn’t parting with the franchise anytime soon.
In fact, even though ABC hasn’t officially announced it, Clayton Echard is set to be the next Bachelor for Season 26.
Reality Steve revealed the news in a tweet after rumors surfaced that the next Bachelor lead would be a contestant from Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette.
“It is official. Clayton Echard is the next Bachelor. He is from Michelle’s season. So he’ll be 3 weeks into filming his season before you ever see him on your screen,” he tweeted.
Filming has already begun for his season of The Bachelor, which is set to air in January 2022.
The Bachelorette returns to ABC on Tuesday, October 19 at 8/7c.
