On The Bachelor this week, Nick Viall takes the final trio of eligible ladies vying for his hand to romantic Finnish Lapland in the Arctic Circle.

Lapland is the northernmost part of Finland and borders Sweden, Norway and Russia, and The Batchelor finds us in the romantic resort of Inari-Saariselkä with Nick and the ladies.

This beautiful, snow-kissed place has all of the ingredients for a lovely getaway and is the perfect winter location for lovers.

The resort has jaw-dropping natural beauty, enchanting forests, beautiful scenery and awesome skiing.

Winter is the best time of year to go, with sled dog rides, snowmobiling, reindeer safaris and Christmas activities all on offer. And if you want to chill out, there are saunas, shopping trips and cruises available too.

No trip to this magical place would be complete without seeing the Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis. Finnish Lapland is one of the best places in the world to see them and they can be seen on over 200 days each year.

Imagine an evening under the stars together, enjoying an intimate meal and watching the night light up above you while you tuck into some delicious local cuisine.

There is incredible accommodation on offer, with anything from spacious apartments, to homely cottages, to intimate wooden cabins. Whichever you choose, romance is never far away.

A wide range of food is on offer, from local reindeer to the bountiful offerings of the clean, clear waters of the sea. There is a huge choice of restaurants, meaning you are sure to find lots to your liking.

The Polar night will blow you away — the light is stunning and is an absolutely unforgettable experience.

However, it must be said that each season has its own appeal and character in Inari-Saariselkä and winter is not the only time to go.

In the summer it enjoys 24-hour sunlight for around three months, when there are plenty of great outdoor activities on offer, while the foliage in the autumn creates some of the most striking colours in the world.

So it’s no surprise that the producers of The Bachelor chose to stage the end of this season in thi breathtaking part of the world.

Go yourself and you’ll be sure to have a great time and, if you’re lucky, you might even get to meet Santa Claus himself…
