Jennifer Aydin will never be best friends with her Real Housewives of New Jersey castmate Jackie Goldschneider, but she’s rooting for her nonetheless. Jackie has opened up a lot this season about her battle with an eating disorder, and cameras have followed her journey to get help.
Jennifer has always been very open about her life on the show, and while she doesn’t think her castmate has always done the same, she’s applauding Jackie’s transparency this time.
Jennifer Aydin says the cast saw ‘red flags’ with Jackie Goldschneider’s eating habits
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star is known for sharing her honest opinions about her cast members and their storylines, or lack thereof, each season.
However, Jennifer admitted to enjoying Jackie’s storyline as she opened up more about her years-long struggle with anorexia.
During a recent interview with In The Know, Jennifer said, “I loved that storyline of hers this season because I was like ‘finally she’s being honest about it.'”
Meanwhile, Jackie has been doing well in recovery and continues to attend therapy three times per week. She recently admitted to getting support from her castmates– except for Teresa Giudice and Jennifer Aydin, who have not reached out to her since sharing her story this season.
However, despite not reaching out, Jennifer wants the best for Jackie and admitted that “us, as a cast [has] seen red flags.”
She reflected on a moment in Season 10 when Margaret Josephs commented on Jackie’s eating habits, and “Jackie got mad at Margaret for saying that, and it was almost like a denial,” explained Jennifer.
Jennifer Aydin is ‘rooting’ for Jackie Goldschneider amid her anorexia recovery
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star said she was proud of her castmate for being honest about her anorexia battle.
“I was very impressed that Jackie was so transparent, and you know she looked great at [the] reunion. She looked beautiful.”
Speaking of the reunion, we’ve heard some rumblings that it was one for the books, and we’re sure Jackie and Jennifer had a faceoff during the event. While the two women had a rare moment of getting along as Jennifer dealt with her husband, Bill Aydin’s infidelity coming to light, that was short-lived.
Jackie showed compassion to Jennifer after being at the center of a cheating rumor being spread about her husband, Evan Goldschneider, last season. However, after the mom-of-five found out that Jackie had made a snide comment about her husband, they returned to being enemies.
Their tense relationship was most likely discussed at the reunion, but Jennifer didn’t share much about that.
“As far as like what happened between us, I won’t say,” said Jennifer, “but I will say that I’m rooting for her as far as this journey with her eating disorder.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
