Kenya Moore reportedly walked away from the Real Housewives franchise after learning that producers had plans to demote her position on the show to being nothing more than a friend of the cast.
According to Page Six, the former Miss USA was devastated by the news that she was being demoted, particularly since she had just announced the news of her pregnancy at last season’s reunion.
However, according to sources, execs over at Bravo were furious that Kenya Moore had more or less been living a double life away from the cameras by not informing the RHOA team about her engagement or the fact that she had tied the knot.

Kenya Moore ditched producers and cameras when she decided to get married to businessman Marc Daly last year. This caused a huge conflict with her storyline since RHOA was paying her a significant figure each season is based on its cast documenting their real lives.
From what sources have gathered, producers weren’t willing to offer Kenya Moore a full-time position on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. They reportedly felt as if she had totally gone against their wishes in being kept in the know of things that happen away from the show.
It would evidently help them also decide on how to base storylines for each cast member once filming begins, but since Kenya Moore had opted to do her own thing, executives just weren’t willing to deal with Moore’s shenanigans again — not as a housewife, at least.
The insider concludes that Kenya Moore was far from happy with the money she was set to earn as a part-time cast member and opted to leave the RHOA franchise as a whole.
There’s still a chance she can come back in the future, but if fans were hoping to see Kenya reprise her position on the show, it’s not happening on Season 11 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
