Jephte Pierre and Shawniece Jackson have come a long way since Season 6 of Married at First Sight.
They worked through some mental health and communication issues while on the show, and even made it back from the brink of divorce after.
And then along came baby Laura… the true ‘love’ of Jephte’s life.
Jephte always wanted to be a father and was beyond excited when the couple became pregnant. When baby Laura arrived Jephte was one proud papa.
He announced his beautiful baby girl on his Instagram in October 2018.
Jephte has always said he wanted a lot of kids — both sons and daughters — but, the special daddy-daughter relationship he’s building with his little peanut Laura Denise might be changing his mind about having boys.
In this super-cute post on Instagram January of last year, Jephte playfully jokes about not wanting a son anymore and says he wants “3-4 daughters who’ll love me to death” and maybe… “one sports-loving son.”
In August 2019, Jephte posted some fun family photos celebrating Laura’s first birthday.
Around the same time, the couple celebrated their second anniversary and Jephte sent a lovely shout-out to his wife on Instagram, saying “Cheers to our strongest year yet.”
For some couples, bringing a new baby into the world can put a major strain on their relationship, but for others it can be a blessing that brings them closer together. The latter seems to be the case for Jephte and Shawniece.
So, when will the time be right to get pregnant again? Hopefully soon, because we just can’t get enough of Jephte’s cuteness with his daughter.
Does Jephte really want more daughters first?
It seems so, after the proud dad said in a recent Twitter post, in reference to the death of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna:
“I’m sorry I eventually want a son but I look at my daughter I always feel like there’s no way it can get any cuter than this. 2-3 more girls then a boy is my dream now before it was all sons.”

Boys or girls, I don’t think it will really matter to Jephte. He loves being a dad and just wants to have more kids.
We absolutely love seeing our Married at First Sight couples having babies and can’t wait for baby #2 for Jephte and Shawniece.
