Although Jenelle never stated she had lupus, she has had a lot of health issues in the past including surgery.

As lupus flares can be a result of stress, many people bought the story that she had her “flare-up” and worried about her health in addition to everything else going on in the young mom’s life.
However, Jenelle recently clarified that she wasn’t hospitalized at all. Since her cash from working on Teen Mom 2 has dried up, Jenelle has reported to posting tabloid story links on her social media for money.
Understandably, with the lupus post, fans got confused and thought she posted a personal update. This confusion has happened to the star several times.

Her post was in fact referring to Ashley Martson, the 90 Day Fiancé star hospitalized due to lupus complications. E! Online initially ran a story saying Jenelle had been hospitalized, but later clarified that it was in fact Martson who was affected.
