Don is a fixture on Black Ink Crew: Chicago and has been with the show since the beginning. As a main cast member on the VH1 series, viewers have been able to see Donald Brumfield at his very best and, after the latest cheating scandal, at his lowest points too.
On Black Ink Crew: Chicago, Don is listed as an assistant, but what does that really mean? Prior to the VH1 series getting picked up, he worked for 9Mag for two years in management and was responsible for their booking.
Don is actually Phor’s little brother. Being related to such a talented tattoo artist can certainly have its perks. It looks like Don got his start in the tattoo business by working as an assistant to his big brother.
Don has two children with his wife, Ashley Pickens. They share two sons, Ashdon and Don Jr.
As many Black Ink Crew: Chicago fans saw recently, Ashley and Don have been going through a rough time as she decides whether or not to stay in the relationship. After finding out that Don has been cheating with yet another woman, Ashley took one of their sons with her to Texas for a breather while leaving the other home with Don to finish up the school year.
Don Brumfield clearly is having a hard time dealing with his family situation and with Ashley in Texas, he turns to the bottle. That leads to Don getting pulled over and arrested for driving under the influence.
With everything Don is already dealing with, a DUI arrest is the last thing he needs. Hopefully, the Black Ink Crew: Chicago star will get himself together after having a heart-to-heart with his big brother Phor.
Black Ink Crew: Chicago airs on Wednesdays at 8/7c on VH1.
