90 Day Fiance viewers once mocked Andrei Castravet for living under his father-in-law’s roof and taking his handouts. However, now the tides are turning, and he’s now moving his family into their own home.

Andrei and his wife Elizabeth Potthast shared a life update on 90 Day Diaries, and they’ve certainly come a long way since we last saw them on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?

At the time, Andrei was just venturing into real estate by working for Chuck Potthast, but he was eager to branch off on his own. These days the real estate market is doing well, and Andrei is reaping the rewards and is finally able to afford a home for his family.

The couple shared an update on their exciting new venture during a clip for 90 Day Diaries, and Elizabeth could barely contain her excitement.

For years Elizabeth and Andrei lived rent-free in a property owned by her dad Chuck. However, the couple eventually decided to move out and do things on their own. Now they’ve taken an even bigger step because the TLC stars now own their own home.

“We are building a new house, and it’s gonna be closing date soon,” shared Andrei in the video as Elizabeth squealed in excitement. “It’s a custom house. We deserve it. It’s our first house. No more renting.”

“We are at a new stage, and we’re very, very excited about it,” he added.

That’s not the only new thing that the couple has to look forward to. Elizabeth and Andrei are about to become second-time parents after recently sharing the pregnancy news on social media.

Elizabeth Potthast and Andrei Castravet argue over finances

While the couple is happy about moving into their new home, they’re still concerned about finances.

That became a topic of discussion during a scene for 90 Day Diaries after Elizabeth shared plans to buy some new furniture for the new house. However, Andrei was not on board with that because he doesn’t think it’s a good idea to spend money on things they already own.

“My husband has always been really good with money. He’s really good at saving and pinching pennies,” noted Elizabeth. “But I feel like this is our new home, and we can splurge a little bit if we want to.”

Elizabeth–who stays at home with her daughter and works part-time for her dad– suggested going back to work full-time to bring in a second income amid their financial concerns. However, Andrei wasn’t on board with that either, so we’ll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

90 Day Diaries airs on Mondays at 9/8c on TLC and Discovery+.
