Peter Gallagher stars tonight on Murphy Brown, playing John Haggerty, the Wolf Network’s conservative superstar. The Murphy in the Morning teams gears up to cover the midterm elections in an all-day coverage show, but they are competing against Avery and Haggerty.

The current show is a revival of the original Murphy Brown that aired between 1998 and 1998. The show followed Murphy Brown, a famous investigative journalist and news anchor, played by Candice Bergen.

The character was a fictional CBS television personality and later got the show, Murphy In The Morning, a show which is also in the revival. The series was revived in September 2018 after CBS announced it would return as a 13-episode season back in January 2018. The original show had 247 episodes.

You can see a preview of tonight’s episode below.
