Jephte Pierre shows his romantic side as he apologizes to Shawniece Jackson in our exclusive clip from this week’s Married at First Sight on Lifetime.
In a bid to try and mend bridges between the pair, Jephte buys his new wife a hat and a rose — accompanied by a card saying sorry for hurting her feelings and not opening up in the beginning of their relationship.
In our exclusive clip, Jephte admits to producers: “I know I haven’t been as romantic as Shawniece wants me to be, but it’s not a side that I like to show too much.”
Shawniece then opens the card — inside an envelope addressed to “Baby Moms” — and reads it out. In the letter, Jephte says: “I’m sorry for shutting down and projecting my anger on to you.
“I’m starting to see how me trying to protect myself might be hurting you, and for that I apologize. I hope you don’t think it was intentional. From here on out be 100 per cent yourself and I’ll be here to accept you.”
