The 2018 Super Bowl ad for website company Squarespace features Hollywood superstar Keanu Reeves surfing on a motorcycle as he speeds along a highway in the desert.
Poking some fun at some of the spiritual utterings some of his characters have said, the actor tells himself: “there has never been anyone just like you and there never will.”
He goes on to say along with the song: “The power to do anything you imagine is within you.”
He did just that with his love of motorcycles, co-founding the Arch Motorcycle Company who make custom production bikes. The company make performance modifications and manufacture bespoke parts to make bikes moulded to the owner’s desire.
Keanu is no stranger to some crazy stunts, who could forget the leap he made in Speed between a car and the bus. That was a stunt the director did not want him to do but Keanu had already gotten the bug for doing as many action sequences as he can after his work on Point Break.
It was during that early hit that director Kathryn Bigalow’s style of shooting fight and action sequences really rubbed off on the young star. Since then he’s been fighting his way through a plethora of action packed movies from The Matrix to the John Wick series, where he does most of his own fight scenes.
He’s said in interviews before that he loves the physicality of doing stunts, as long as its physicality with the character as part of the role.
What is the song in the Keanu Reeves Squarespace Super Bowl commercial?
The song is Adventures in Success and is from the 1983 comedy self-help album Will Powers Dancing for Mental Health. Will Powers is actually a stage name for celebrity photographer Lynn Goldsmith, whose work has appeared on dozens of album covers.
The album features tracks such as Dancing for Mental Health and Kissing with Confidence, with artists credited including Steve Winwood, Sting, Nile Rodgers and Carly Simon.

The ad is part of a series with another one featuring the star asking himself if he should start a motorcycle company, given he just loves bikes. His self advises that he should and that of course he should make a website for it using Squarespace.
The other ad sees out in the desert giving some sage advice on making a website as he tends to a large fire. His disembodied head also has some great lines and of course what could move Keanu to tears more than a beautiful bike!
