Season 3 of Ozark has been officially renewed by Netflix. The second season of the popular series was released on 31 August 2018 and Netflix has ordered another 10 episodes.

Jason Bateman revealed the renewal news on Twitter and teased the fate of his character Marty Byrde.

When is Ozark Season 3 coming to Netflix

The first season was released on 21 July 2017, with Season 2 coming this year on 31 August 2018.

Netflix has not revealed the official release date for Season 3 of Ozark. As previously reported, Jason Bateman revealed earlier this year that he is taking a short break from work to spend time with his family.

Ozark Season 3 will likely be released in the Netflix Fall schedule in September or October in 2019.

What to expect in Ozark Season 3

Jason Bateman serves as the executive producer, occasional director and portrays Marty Byrde, a family man who moves his family from Chicago to the Ozarks to launder money for a powerful Mexican drug cartel.

Marty ends up digging himself in a deeper hole by proposing a casino to launder the money for both the Mexican cartel and local heroin dealers The Snells.

In the finale of Ozark Season 2, Marty’s wife Wendy Byrde assumes control of the money laundering operation as Marty seemingly takes the back seat.

Ruth Langmore continues to be an important ally to the Byrde family while pondering whether to keep all the cartel money for herself.

The finale of the second season teased an upcoming feud between the Kansas City mafia and the Byrdes.

While there will likely be some casting announcements as production begins, most of the main cast that survived Season 2 are expected to return.
