Jane the Virgin is back for Season 3 on The CW — and we finally get to know the answer to the question we’ve all been asking: Is Michael really dead?
Michael was shot by Sin Rostro at the end of last season, and tonight we see Jane find out about the tragedy. But the big question is whether he’ll make it through.
When Jane asks the doctor at the hospital: “Will he be alright?” she shakes her head and says: “Honestly?”
We then see Michael lying in a coma in hospital, as Jane tells him: “This is not the end of our story. Do you hear me?”
Executive producer Jennie Urman previously dropped some pretty strong hints that Michael might not make it out the other side 100 per cent ok.
The main clue was that she told TVLine that this season Jane will end up losing her virginity — but that it won’t take place “in the way she expected…because of certain events that happen”.
Watch the Season 3 premiere clip below, as we see Michael in a coma with Jane by his bedside.
