The NCIS cast has been on a bit of a break from new episodes. When CBS viewers last saw Gibbs (played by Mark Harmon), he was helping an old family friend track down military ID bracelets.
Season 16 of the show has been an exciting one, including the introduction of a new NCIS cast member in forensic scientist Kasie Hines. Played by actress Diona Reasonover, she is almost as eccentric as her predecessor in the job.
This is the first season that the show has been without Pauley Perrette as Abby Sciuto. While it took a big pivot to pull off some of the cast dynamics, the show continues to be very strong for CBS in the ratings.

In the January 22 time slot for the show, CBS aired an episode of Celebrity Big Brother 2. The bad news for fans, is that there is not a new episode of NCIS tonight either. In the January 29 time slot is a show about the Greatest Super Bowl commercials.
