Benny, played by Tyler Lepley, appeared to have been shot and bleeding profusely during last night’s season finale of The Haves and the Have Nots. Immediately, fans were wondering if this is indeed the end of the long-time character of Benny. Is Benny really going to die?

Viewers got a tease of what is to come on the upcoming season of the show. By all accounts, it looks like Benny will make it to the hospital, but that’s all we can really guess. The rest would be speculation and the outcome of the incident hasn’t been revealed either.

We can find no evidence that Tyler Lepley is leaving The Haves or the Have Nots.

Fans reacted to the shooting on Twitter, some not wanting to accept that Benny was hurt.

His IMDB page appears to be missing a few updates, as the latest update is him starring on The Haves and the Have Nots in 2017, marking the fourth season of the show.

However, there are no projects listed that he’s currently working on. That’s not to say that he’s not working on something else but at least for now, it’s not obvious.

Benny getting shot wraps the long sixth season of The Haves and the Have Nots, the longest season of the entire series. Starting back in January with a brief break in the spring, season six ended up being 33 episodes.

Tyler Lepley has played Benny since the very first season and has been a regular on the show. Benny is part of the Young family, also known as the Have Nots.

While Lepley does have an active Instagram account, he has revealed no plans of moving on from the show there either.

The Haves and the Have Nots has been renewed for a seventh season and will return to OWN in January 2019.
