Buddy Bell’s Instagram shows the My Big Fat Fabulous Life enjoying his new clean life after undergoing treatment last year for cocaine addiction.
The reality star’s drug problem was revealed on last week’s episode of the TLC show, with Buddy later putting up a post on the social media site revealing he was now seven months sober.
He said: “My secret’s out! I was one week clean in this picture. At the time that seemed like an impossible task and I was obviously still riding that pink cloud. I’ll be 7 months clean and sober (not even a cigarette!) this Friday. Thanks for all the love and support.”
His parents revealed on the show that the star entered rehab last summer after they gave him some “tough choices”. His My Big Fat Fabulous Life co-star Whitney Way Thore only found out about Buddy’s problem when she spoke to one of his friends.
She then went to speak to his parents, who told her that he had already entered rehab.
Last week he posted a picture on his Instagram of himself with his friend David, revealing that they had got sober together after meeting in rehab.
In another pic, posted on Saturday, he was outdoors enjoying a stunning day next to the Potomac river.
At the weekend, My Big Fat Fabulous Life star Whitney posted a picture of her and a sober Buddy enjoying time together on a No Body Shame At Sea cruise in December.
After last week’s episode she wrote of Buddy: “I am so proud of my boo bear for his honesty and his strength. We all love you so much.”
On My Big Fat Fabulous Life this week, Buddy is still in rehab and Whitney has to break the news to his on-off girlfriend Heather — before the pair both get letters from him. Watch the sneak peek below!
