Kim Delaney is set to join the cast of NBC’s Chicago Fire, where she will play the mother of Kelly Severide.
Delaney’s character Jennifer Sheridan is a former party girl who is now on the straight path, attending church and apt to quote a few scriptures as well. She’s also fought hard to move on from her past life and complicated divorce from ex-husband Benny.
The Philadelphia born actress most recently starred in Murder in the First as Dr. Nancy Redmun, To Appomattox as Mary Todd Lincoln and also had a recurring role in Army Wives as Claudia Joy Holden.
She joins a cast that includes her on-screen son Kelly played by Taylor Kinney, Jesse Spencer as Matthew Casey, Monica Raymund as Gabriela Dawson and Yuri Sardarov as Brian Zvonecek.
