The Philadelphia born actress most recently starred in Murder in the First as Dr. Nancy Redmun, To Appomattox as Mary Todd Lincoln and also had a recurring role in Army Wives as Claudia Joy Holden.

She joins a cast that includes her on-screen son Kelly played by Taylor Kinney, Jesse Spencer as Matthew Casey, Monica Raymund as  Gabriela Dawson and Yuri Sardarov as  Brian Zvonecek.

Chicago Fire has been running since 2012 and follows the lives of the Firehouse 51 crew and their families as they struggle to keep the people of the city safe.
