Amazon’s Alexa loses her voice in the device’s 2018 Super Bowl commercial — and things don’t go quite to plan when the company brings in replacements in the form of Gordon Ramsay, Cardi B, Rebel Wilson and Anthony Hopkins.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos also makes a cameo in the ad, quizzing his team about what went wrong when Alexa found she couldn’t speak any more. When he asks if they’re sure the replacements are going to work out, he doesn’t get a reply filled with confidence.

First up is Hell’s Kitchen star and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, who adds his trademark potty-mouth in response to a question about a grilled cheese sandwich.

Rapper Cardi B then steps up to the plate after Alexa is asked how far Mars is from Earth, and also refuses to play anything but her hit song Bodak Yellow when asked by someone else to play some country music.

The commercial then sees Rebel Wilson “set the mood” whilst having a bath — in a rather more raunchy way than was probably expected. It then draws to a close with Anthony Hopkins doing his best Hannibal Lecter while feeding peacocks in the creepiest way.
